Thank you for visiting Yorkshire Mobile Opticians. We specialise in home visit, domicilliary sight test and supply of spectacles and vision aids such as magnifiers in your home.
Set up by myself - Gary Flack a Optometrist from Barnsley in 2007 - I was aware that there is an enormous number of people in Yorkshire who cannot get into town centre opticians for sight tests and spectacles due to being house bound.
Many people are suffering with poor eyesight as a consequence.
The company is run by myself - Gary Flack. I started in the world of optics back in 1984 as a trainee dispensing optician - this involved adjusting and making spectacles. Once I had qualified I went to college to train as a contact lens optician. Not content with that I then carried on and took a Degree in Optometry at Bradford.
Now qualified as an Optometrist (an optician who is qualified to test sight) I hope to bring my years of Optical experience to home.
I am registered with both the General Optical council and a member of the College of Optometrists.
